The insured event took place on March 21, 2016 in Zaporizhzhya. The escalator in a trade center belonging to our Client went out of order due to the gear system breakdown. In accordance with guarantee terms and conditions this breakdown could not be covered by the manufacturer (Schindler). There was no other service organization able to fix the escalator in Ukraine.

Thanks to the efforts of BritMark experts insurance company paid for the purchase of the brand new gear system. It turned out to be cheaper to buy the new spare part than to ship it to the manufacturer for the repair. The indemnity in the amount of UAH 141,264 was paid by insurance company Allianz Ukraine (the total sum of damage equaled UAH 151,000 with the deductible amount accounting for UAH 10,000).
